To date, the St. Louis Gateway Classic Sports Foundation has provided $2.5M in college scholarships to 106+ students in the St. Louis and Metro East area. Currently, the SLGCSF is the only Classic Football Game that offers scholarships to cover tuition, room, and board to students maintaining a minimum C+.

Miss Gateway Classic
On Saturday, July 24, 2010, the St. Louis Gateway Classic Sports Foundation will present 13 young ladies to the community as they compete for the title of “Miss Gateway Classic 2010”. The Miss Gateway Classic pageant is a culmination of a summer long program that offers young ladies the opportunity to compete for a full, four-year scholarship, as well as develop their personal and professional skills. This year marks the 15th Anniversary of the Miss Gateway Classic Scholarship Program and one talented, young lady will be awarded a $40,000 college scholarship and will represent the Gateway Classic at all its events during her one-year reign.
The 2010 participants include: Ms. Jamiah Austin (McCluer South High School), Ms. India Boyd (University City High School), Ms. Loretha Cain, (Hazelwood East High School), Ms. Tawana Clark (McCluer North High School), Ms. Chelsea Fox (East St. Louis Dist. #189), Ms. Sabrina Harris (Hazelwood East High School), Ms. Markita Hayes (University City High School), Ms. Dennise Hernton (McCluer North High School), and Ms. Alyssa Jackson – Collier (Webster Groves High School).
