Volunteer Program
..............................................................................................................................Vital to the success of any non-profit organization is the work of volunteers. The St. Louis Gateway Classic Sports Foundation is grateful for its corps of volunteers who have made all the events and activities of the organization run smoothly. Due to the unselfish service of people committed to the mission of the Classic, the Foundation is able to produce dozens of programs and events throughout the year that help youth and the entire community of St. Louis.
Were it not for the dedication of volunteers from fraternal organizations, sororities, retirees, alumni associations and others, the Foundation could not proudly proclaim its mission of giving as successful. It takes a great deal of time, energy and manpower to run events like the American Family Insurance Gateway Football Classic, basketball and boxing tournaments, scholarship programs and the many other events benefiting youth. Retirees, for example, assist the Gateway Classic with office tasks such as filing, collating material and answering the telephones. In the summer, high school youth are invited to work in the Gateway Classic office on special projects in preparation for the big game in September. The St. Louis Gateway Classic Sports Foundation gratefully salutes its many volunteers. Thank you for a job well done.
